The Apple Vision Pro will be available in China and other international markets from June 28

Apple Vision Pro will soon be available for purchase in China, France and other international markets, the company announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 on Monday. Apple’s first spatial computer was first unveiled at WWDC 2023 and became available for purchase six months later, but its sales were initially limited to the US market only. However, Apple says it is now bringing Vision Pro to other international markets starting June 28. China, Japan and Singapore will be among the first new nations to have it in stores.

Availability of Apple Vision Pro extended

Apple Vision Pro pre-orders in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore will go live on Friday, June 14 at 6 a.m. local time, the company announced during the event. The headphones will start shipping on the 28th. June. Meanwhile, customers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany and the UK can pre-order the mixed reality headset at 5am local time starting June 28, with availability starting July 12.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, said at the announcement: “Enthusiasm for Apple Vision Pro has been incredible and we are thrilled to bring the magic of spatial computing to more customers around the world.”

Apple Vision Pro price

Notably, the Apple Vision Pro starts at $3,499 (roughly Rs. 290,000) in the US and is available for purchase in three storage variants: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. Furthermore, users can choose to purchase additional Zeiss optical inserts priced at $99 (roughly Rs. 8,000) for reading lenses and $149 (roughly Rs. 12,000) for prescription lenses.

Prospective customers who purchase the Vision Pro can book a 30-minute demo session at their local Apple Store, according to Apple. This includes scanning your face using Face ID, trying out different loops and light seals to ensure it sits perfectly on your face without any discomfort, and adjusting to lens inserts.

They also get a short demo of visionOS, the operating system that powers the headset, and its capabilities. The demo also allows the customer to get used to basic Vision Pro functions and the eye movements, gestures and voice commands needed to navigate the user interface, Apple claims.
