A leaker has revealed the design of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 (2024), giving us an idea of what to expect from the next laptop in the company’s Slim line. It could be the first commercially available laptop to debut a Qualcomm Arm-based Snapdragon X Elite chip and run Windows 11 with a focus on AI performance. The leaked images also show that the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 (2024) will sport a 14-inch display and have a dedicated Microsoft Copilot button.
Tipster WalkingCat (@_h0x0d_) posted four images of the alleged Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 (2024) on X (formerly Twitter). The images shared by the tipster show the alleged laptop from various angles, running what appears to be Windows 11, and the post is titled “Yoga Slim 7 14(.5) 2024 Snapdragon Edition” suggesting the laptop will have a 14-inch or 14.5-inch screen and will run on a Snapdragon processor.
In the leaked images, we see the rumored Yoga laptop with a very thin design and a Lenovo logo in the center of the lid. It has rounded edges and a slightly raised webcam module. The keyboard is surrounded by stereo speakers on both sides, while the trackpad is quite large. To the right of the space bar, we can clearly see the dedicated Copilot button.
The tipster didn’t share any other specs of the laptop, but this is the first image of the laptop expected to debut with Qualcomm’s flagship laptop processor. While Samsung and Microsoft — along with several other OEMs — are expected to equip their laptops with the Snapdragon X Elite chip, we’ve only seen alleged benchmarks of these devices.
According to a recent report, Microsoft is reportedly confident that its upcoming Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 will be able to beat Apple’s M3-powered MacBook Air, in both CPU and AI tasks. The company is also said to be optimistic about the performance of Windows AI PCs with Arm chips for emulating x64 applications — Microsoft expects its emulator to offer better emulation performance than Apple’s Rosetta 2 for Macs with Apple Silicon chips, according to the report.
